The James Family

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet the James family this past weekend. They had family coming in from around the world and wanted some family portraits. We took some photos right at their home in Prescott and also at one of our local lakes. Mrs. James brought out all the smiles while interacting with the children.

Sunshine & Steve - Word of Life Assembly, Prescott

We had a wonderful time photographing Steve & Sunshine's wedding. Sunshine's name is so fitting, as we have never seen her without a smile on her face. The guys looked awesome in their zoot suits and the girls, of course, looked beautiful! Steve's own father, who is a minister, married them, and it made the ceremony very personal. All the kids did a great job participating in the wedding. Some of those boys were really hamming it up in front of the camera for us. Five of those little ones belong to Steve and Sunshine! We truly enjoyed being a part of their special day. Congratulations Steve & Sunshine and God bless your new blended family!

Executive Portraits

Here are some photos from Matt's recent executive portrait session with Jaime. Jaime is a return client for us, and we just love photographing her and the family! Both Jaime and her husband Russ run their own businesses, and she requested some new photos for her website which will be up shortly. Doesn't she look great!?

Old House, Young Love

Everyday, things are changing here in our little town. Cheyenne and I drive by this old shed with a big tree and swing and we always mention to each other that we need to get a picture of it. There used to be a house there, but it's been leveled, leaving these remains. The other day I was driving home from a photo shoot and decided to take some pictures before it's gone as well. When I pulled in to take some photos, there were two young people there taking pictures and having a great time. They were running and playing and it inspired me because for a moment they made life seem so simple and carefree. It was almost surreal and felt like a little bit of heaven on earth. It reminded me of when Jesus said in John 13, "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
I started taking some pictures and then decided to go meet this young couple. They were very friendly and enthusiastically posed for me. I had this picture in my head of the two of them with the swing in the rustic setting. As I was shooting I was thinking of that Dave Matthews song, "The Dreaming Tree" and how perfectly it fit this moment.
Here's a couple of photos of Emi and Shadoe. Thank-you Emi and Shadoe for allowing me to capture these images.

New Blog for a New Year!

Hi everyone! Well, I know the year started almost two months ago, but we're just now starting this new blog. We had a wonderful time around the holidays with all the fun family portraits. You can see some of our favorites on our website.
This year started out a little rough as I (Cheyenne) spent some time in the hospital (no fun at all). However, God has been faithful and everything is returning to normal around here.
Matt has been busy shooting some executive portraits and enjoying some nature photography with some of our beautiful snow days. We have some weddings, family portraits, and senior portraits coming up in the near future which we will share with you as they come.
